  • Fridericianum

Friedrichsplatz 18, 34117 Kassel

On the last Tuesday of every month, the Fridericianum invites you to art, drinks, and encounters. In November, the participants have the opportunity to explore Robert Grosvenor’s exhibition and get creative themselves afterwards in the café.

Robert Grosvenor’s works often contain references to everyday observations. Art educator Roland Knieg takes on this approach in his workshop for adults: Together, the group develops own strategies for transforming these kinds of observations into simple folded paper objects—using, among other things, the personal photo collection on their smartphones as inspiration.

After his training in carpentry, Roland Knieg studied architecture and product design. With many years of practical experience and inspired by the concept of social sculpture, he designs spaces and objects that relate to people and encourage the exchange of thoughts and ideas. He has been part of the Fridericianum art education team for several years and guides the visitors in exploring the exhibitions.

Guided exhibition tour: 6.30–8.30 pm
Workshop in the café: from 8.30 pm
The café is open until 9 pm.
