Children’s vernissage: Catherine Opie

  • Fridericianum

Friedrichsplatz 18, 34117 Kassel

The Fridericianum invites children and their accompanying adults to an exclusive exhibition opening ahead of the official celebrations: Guided by the art education team, young visitors explore the new exhibition by Cathrine Opie. Afterwards, the Studiowerkstatt invites them to get creative themselves. The focus is on self-invention through art: Participants explore how colors and patterns can express identity and desires for personal development—for example, by designing temporary tattoos.

Ideal age: 6–12 years.
Admission is free. No registration required. Drop in and out at any time.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The exhibition is being generously sponsored by Maria Seferian.

The Kunsthalle receives further significant support from the Rudolf Augstein Stiftung.
