Charles Ray takes great care in the installation of his works. He calls this practice ‘embedment,’ an art form in its own right that is rarely recognized as such. The walk-through tour with curator, author and lecturer Anthony Marasco will focus precisely on the way each sculpture—and its backstory—relates to the others and to the surrounding gallery spaces.
Anthony Marasco teaches Art History at NABA (Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti) in Milan. He is currently writing a book on Boy with Frog, one of the sculptures by Charles Ray currently on display in the Fridericianum exhibition.
