Fridericianum
Friedrichsplatz 18, 34117 KasselLiving Earth – A glimpse into the invisible habitats beneath our feet
As part of Kassel’s environment and culture festival on the occasion of Earth Day, Danish artist and documenta 13 (2012) participant Tue Greenfort presents an interactive art project designed specifically for the Fridericianum that takes the event’s title literally: Starting point is one metric ton of soil, which will be piled up on Friedrichsplatz in front of the Kunsthalle. Everyone who’s interested is invited to take a handful of soil from the mound and shape it into small works of art. The objects will be placed on a grid on the ground floor of the Fridericianum, so that a large collaborative artwork can be created with the participation of as many people as possible.
The offer is aimed at all age groups (Children must be accompanied by an adult).
No registration is required, drop in and out at any time.
Participation in the art project and admission to the exhibition is free on Earth Day.
