As the “hairdresser from Lingen,” he practiced tongue-in-cheek understatement, yet at the same time left behind works in wire sculpture that were far ahead of their time. What is the significance of sculpture in the work of documenta artist Harry Kramer? With a look at the wire sculptures, the Kramer studio, and the necropolis in the Habichtswald forest, the Sunday matinee explores the extent to which Kramer proves himself to be an artistic innovator and how his conception of sculpture creates new spaces.
