From 12 April to 26 May 2025, the exhibition “Art Meets Companies” will open in the Showroom as a cooperation project between ZfKW, TRegKS, the University of Kassel and the documenta Institut.

The pilot project “Art Meets Companies” is organized by the Department of Art & Economics at the University of Kassel and the documenta Institute and led by Professor Mi You. During the project, the selected artists collaborated with various companies in an open-ended process. The concept of this project was to consider artistic practice as an innovative method that can support transformation processes in companies with regard to future challenges and opportunities. In exchange with managers and employees, the artists asked questions and identified hopes and challenges in relation to ongoing transformation processes, placed them in a larger social context and speculated together about the future.
The main aim of the project was to implement and evaluate these concrete collaborations with a view to developing a methodology for cooperation between independent artists and companies that can be further expanded in the future.

Andreas Niegl (research associate at the documenta Institu and project manager of “Art Meets Companies”) will lead the associated workshop “Artistic Experiments Outside of the Art World” together with the artists on Saturday, April 12. Together with the two participating artists, he will explore the central theme of the project “Artistic Experiments Outside of the Art World.”

The workshop will be held in English and admission is free.
