We are looking for an Image Editor (m/f/d) with relevant experience in picture editing for print and digital publications.
The role is responsible for the planning, sourcing, rights clearance, and delivery of images throughout long-term editorial and production processes.
• Picture editing in close collaboration with internal partners
• Planning and managing image sourcing strategies
• Managing image rights and licensing,
• Picture editing across print and digital publications
• Preparing and monitoring image budgets
• Coordination with external partners
• Ensuring image delivery workflows
Your profile:
• Proven professional experience as a picture editor or in a relevant position, preferably in the field of art and culture
• Experience with image rights and copyright
• Experience with electronic publications and digital media
• Competence in planning and coordinating workflows
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working knowledge of copyright law and licensing practices in international publishing contexts
• Ability to work independently with strong detail orientation
The weekly working time is 40 hours.
The position is fixed-term until 31 October 2027.
The start date is May 1, 2026.
