documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH are seeking a Marketing & Sales Assistant (m/f/d) for the Communications and Marketing Department for documenta 16, to start as soon as possible.
This full-time position is a fixed-term contract ending on October 31, 2027.
documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is a nonprofit organization supported by the City of Kassel and the State of Hesse as shareholders. Its responsibilities include the documenta exhibition, which takes place every five years, the Fridericianum, the documenta archive, and the documenta Halle.
As an internationally renowned exhibition of contemporary art, documenta stands for discourse, diversity, and social relevance.
We are looking for a dedicated individual who can actively support our marketing and communications efforts to raise the public profile of documenta 16.
Your Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all marketing and sales activities (print/digital)
- Handling other administrative tasks, as well as planning, organizing, and taking minutes for meetings
- Supporting project management of marketing initiatives with service providers or partners to be commissioned, as well as all relevant points of contact within documenta 16
- Assisting with the production of all marketing materials and their distribution to relevant target audiences, including, but not limited to, advertisements, brochures, flyers, and posters
- Conducting market research
- Drafting marketing copy, statistics, and presentations
- Supporting the marketing and ticketing team in day-to-day operations
- Assisting with the preparation of trade shows, sponsor events, and internal events
Your Profile:
- A college degree in marketing, communication studies, cultural management, or a comparable field
- Initial professional experience in marketing, ideally at a cultural organization, as well as knowledge of digital media
- Proficiency with common Microsoft Office applications and digital communication channels
- A meticulous, reliable, independent, and team-oriented work style
- Interest in art and cultural discourse as well as social debates
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
