documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH is a nonprofit corporation owned by the City of Kassel and the State of Hesse. It is responsible for the documenta exhibition, which takes place every five years, the Fridericianum, the documenta archive, and the documenta Halle.
As an internationally renowned exhibition of contemporary art, documenta stands for discourse, diversity, and social relevance.
As part of a parental leave replacement, we are seeking, as soon as possible, a dedicated individual for the position of Technical Building Management | IT Infrastructure (m/f/d) to support our team in the Production and Technology department.
Your Responsibilities:
- Organizing, coordinating, and supervising electrical work
- Assisting with the planning and implementation of electrical installations for exhibitions, events, and projects
- Documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards
- Serving as the point of contact for the various departments and external service providers
Your Profile:
- Completed training in electrical engineering with additional training to become a Master Electrician (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
- In-depth knowledge of relevant standards, regulations, and accident prevention guidelines, particularly those of the DGUV and VDE
- Experience as a certified electrical specialist (VEFK)
- Experience in organizing and supervising electrical work
- Ability to work independently, in a structured manner, and with a sense of responsibility
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
This is a full-time position with a fixed-term contract ending on December 31, 2027, and a 40-hour workweek. The job is based in Kassel.
