The bilingual booklets in the publication series “100 Notes - 100 Thoughts” were published in the months leading up to the opening of the exhibition as a programmatic “prelude” to documenta 13. As a diverse, inter- and transdisciplinary collection of ideas and perspectives, the small-format notebooks are one of the central formats of documenta 13 under the artistic direction of Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev.
At the start of the exhibition, all 100 individual notebooks were published as a reference work, compiled in one volume under the title “The Book of Books”.
