The book of books: The catalog brings together essays, artistic projects and the core themes of documenta 13. It reproduces the entire publication series 100 Notes - 100 Thoughts in facsimile or new layout and is supplemented by essays by the artistic director Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev and Chus Martínez, the head of the department and member of the core group. The authors of the notebooks range from the anthropologist Michael Taussig to the philosophers Donna Haraway and Christoph Menke, the feminist cultural theorist Griselda Pollock and the political philosopher Susan Buck-Morss to the poet Romaine Moreton and the scientist Anton Zeilinger, and also include numerous artists. The illustrated short biographies of all participants are combined with the catalog of the exhibited works and offer a comprehensive overview of the range of documenta 13. A detailed reading list and an extensive index provide information for navigating this book and for further exploring individual topics from the context of the exhibition. This richly illustrated catalog provides an in-depth insight into the concept of documenta 13 with its diverse ramifications in the most varied areas of radical research and experimental thinking and is at the same time an informative reference work.
