Attend exhibition openings, follow debates, make friends - and promote art in the process: The International Friends of documenta invite you to enjoy immersive insights and experiences. Discover the documenta as well as the exhibitions and programs of the Kunsthalle Fridericianum and the documenta archiv in stimulating company and with professional guidance and enter into an inspiring exchange with artists, curators, and art enthusiasts.
The non-profit organization brings together people committed to contemporary art and supports documenta und Museum Fridericianum gGmbH, the documenta exhibition, the Fridericianum, and the documenta archiv, both conceptually and financially. The documenta forum is an institutional member of International Friends of documenta e. V.
As a member of the International Friends of documenta, you will enjoy free admission to the Fridericianum's exhibitions, benefit from discounted tickets for documenta, and receive invitations to the openings as well as to artist talks, performances, debates, lectures, and other events organized by documenta und Museum Fridericianum gGmbH and its institutions.
With your membership you will support the institutions of documenta gGmbH.

Membership fee
€ 1,000 / calendar year for two persons
Solidarity Membership
Members have the opportunity to sponsor a solidarity membership for another person in addition to their own. People who would like to become part of the International Friends and need support please contact internationalfriends@documenta.de. The board of the association decides on the allocation of Solidarity Memberships.
Institutional Membership
Institutional memberships (e.g. corporate memberships) make it possible to grant the benefits of the International Friends of documenta to a certain number of members of the institution (e.g. employees). The price of the membership fee is calculated according to the number of members of the institution to whom the benefits of the International Friends of documenta are to be granted.
