Zeichenaktion im Rahmen der Intervention 7000 Palmen

To ensure that Cosima von Bonin’s 7000 Palmen also take root in Kassel’s Nordstadt, Hier im Quartier is offering a creative drawing workshop as part of the program accompanying the artistic intervention initiated by the Fridericianum. Those interested are invited to the Karo-Café at Karolinenstraße 22 on Friday, July 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. to draw together with artist Ilknur Kocer on the subject of “Beyond the postcard”.

The group explores the following questions: What do palm trees actually stand for? For vacation? Home? Work? Wanderlust? Or perhaps an oasis in the desert? They collect stories, associations and motifs relating to the palm tree. Along the way, Ilknur shares helpful tips and tricks for drawing and developing small comics.

Participation is free of charge, is financed from the Kassel city budget and is a cooperation between the Fridericianum and Hier im Quartier (Schlachthof cultural center).
