- Fridericianum
The Fridericianum is delighted to be part of the 20th edition of the Kassel Museum Night and to be one of over 50 cultural venues opening its doors late into the night.
The offers are manifold! At 4 pm, the Fridericianum offers its first “Culture on Call” tour, which allows anyone who is unable to visit in person to learn about Robert Grosvenor’s exhibition by telephone. There will also be tours of the current exhibitions and projects of the Kunsthalle. In addition, the Studiowerkstatt invites visitors to get creative themselves.
Another highlight: On the occasion of the Kassel Museum Night – in the documenta anniversary year 2025 – artist Cosima von Bonin exclusively created a limited tote bag edition. The theme of the design is “7000 palm trees at night” and will be given out to the visitors for free – only while stocks last!
Program overview:
Guided phone tour “Culture on Call”
4–5 pm
By taking part in “Culture on Call”, the Fridericianum addresses people who are unable to participate in cultural experiences in person, for example due to visual impairment, limited mobility, or social barriers. Even those who feel uncomfortable in groups or cannot afford a visit now have inclusive access via telephone.
Here’s how it works: A Fridericianum art educator invites participants on a guided tour of Robert Grosvenor’s exhibition by telephone and describes visual contents along the way.
Registration is possible via www.beianrufkultur.de as well as by phone under 040 209 404 36. Participation is free of charge. After receiving the access information, the participants comfortably dial in from home on the day of the event. The one-hour tour is being hostet by a moderator while the art educator guides the group through the exhibition on site. During the tour, the participants’ speakers are turned off. The phone line will be opened for questions and exchange occasionally.
