New Communications Department: Johanna Köhler Joins the documenta and Museum Fridericianum Team in Kassel

The documenta and Museum Fridericianum gGmbH will establish a Communications Department as of November 1, 2018. The goal is to strengthen and consolidate public relations, marketing, and PR for the documenta, the Museum Fridericianum, and the documenta archive.

“I am pleased that with Johanna Köhler we have gained someone with experience in redesigning communication strategies and brand positioning in the art and museum sector,” says the new General Director Dr. Sabine Schormann. Köhler previously managed public relations and the brand relaunch of the Böttcherstraße Museums in Bremen before taking over as Head of Marketing and PR at the Museum Barberini in Potsdam in 2015, which opened in 2017 to great public interest. At the Museum Barberini, Köhler was responsible for building the department, developing international press relations, creating the website, and introducing social media communications.
